Meet Jennifer and Brittney, the founders of Presley May Farms
Jennifer Vega
Hi there, I’m Jenn! As a passionate homeschool mother of two, I'm excited to create a space where children can explore, grow, and learn in the great outdoors. With 12 years of experience working with children of all developmental abilities, and a deep love for nature, I believe in the power of outdoor learning to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster independence in children.
Personally, I have always been drawn to learning in non-traditional environments, so I believe children (and adults!) can thrive beyond the confinement of four walls. At Presley May, I guide students through activities that connect them to the earth—whether it’s caring for animals, foraging for wild plants, or tending to our garden. My goal is to help children develop practical skills and a strong sense of responsibility, all while encouraging their natural sense of wonder.
When I’m not on the farm, you’ll find me exploring new trails, working on my film projects, or spending time with my own family, who inspire me every day to keep this program grounded in the idea that we ALL learn best when we are wild and free. Stay wild, Earth child!
Brittney Mcwhorter

Howdy I'm Brittney! I was raised a homeschooled horse-girl and spent most of my childhood outdoors. My ever-growing passion for nature has developed from years of experiencing firsthand how our earth can heal us.
I have 3 wonderful and curious kids that are now 15, 13 and 10. While raising a family of my own, I became committed to supporting their physical growth and cognitive development by spending as many hours outdoors as possible. I believe that nature intrinsically provides an abundance of opportunities to not only learn naturally, but also allow space for mindfulness and reflection, which is crucial for developing nervous systems.
Before starting this beloved passion project, I worked with special needs children for over 10 years. My heart will always have a special place for the special needs community, and I am especially passionate about providing an engaging and holistic space for children with special needs and sensory differences to thrive and experience nature without bounds.
I currently homeschool my youngest daughter who attends farm school at Presley May, and I will always rely on nature as my co-teacher and ally in education. She hasn't let me down yet! We have so much to receive from our wondrous Earth, we simply have to be open to accepting her gifts.
I can’t wait to meet you and share our special place with you and your children. See you on the farm!
